Frequently asked

How do I follow an artist?

Tap the search icon in the bottom bar, type any artist name, and tap them in the results. On the artist's page, tap Follow Artist. We'll start watching for tour announcements, presales, and on-sales for that artist and notify you the moment anything drops.

Why am I not getting alerts?

Three things to check:

  1. Notifications are enabled.Open iOS Settings → Yoink → Notifications and make sure “Allow Notifications” is on.
  2. You're following the artist or have an event alert.Open the Profile tab and confirm the artist shows up under “Artists” (or the event under “Events”). If they're missing, alerts won't fire.
  3. The artist or event actually has activity. If no tour has been announced and no sale is upcoming, there's nothing for Yoink to alert you about yet.

Still nothing after checking those? Email hello@yoink.events with the artist name and we'll take a look.

Where do tickets come from? Does Yoink sell tickets?

Yoink doesn't sell tickets. We watch public ticket marketplaces (Ticketmaster today, more on the way) and alert you the moment tickets drop. When you tap “Get Tickets,” we hand you straight off to the official seller — we don't mark up prices and don't take a cut.

How do I disable alerts for a specific event or artist?

Open the artist or event you want to silence and tap the bell icon to toggle alerts off. You can also unfollow an artist from their detail page, which stops all future alerts for them.

Can I import my Spotify or Apple Music artists?

Yes. Open the Profile tab → Settings → Import from Spotify or Apple Music. We'll read the artists you've saved and let you pick which ones to follow in Yoink. We don't import listening history or playlists — just artists.

Is Yoink free?

Yes — Yoink is free. No ads, no in-app purchases, no upsells. We're built by music fans for music fans.
